About Me

My Journey

Hi! My name is Noah Boelter, and I am a journalist. I was born and raised in Kent, Washington where I graduated from Kent-Meridian High School and Green River College. I transferred to Washington State University in 2020 and graduated in 2022. From there I moved to Spokane where I started my career as a reporter who quickly moved to the morning show with KHQ. Since February 2023 I have been reporting full-time on weekday mornings, telling 2+ stories per day and regularly covering breaking news.

My Passions

When I’m on the job I love serving the community and telling stories that help people. I also love covering sports. When I’m off the job I love being an uncle and spending time with family. I love being a chihuahua dad to Chachi! I love playing and watching sports, specifically basketball, football, baseball, volleyball and rock climbing. On or off the job, I love helping people.

My Family

I have 7 siblings, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. I have… more nieces and nephews than I can count. Most of them live in various suburbs of Seattle. Ages range from 1 year old to older than me! They refer to me as “the cool uncle”… or maybe that’s just in my head…

My Buggums

I call Chachi, my chihuahua “Buggums”. Why? Can’t remember where it started but it stuck! Buggums is a rescue. He was 1 of over 50 chihuahuas being horded so he has always had some anxieties. One of my missions in life is to help dogs like Chachi know that they don’t have to be afraid.

My Beliefs

I believe in God. I believe in the goodness of people. I believe in the importance of honesty, service and courage. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe in learning from every mistake. I believe in treating others how you would like to be treated.

My Goals

I want to make a difference. If I can put a smile on one face it was worth it. I want to tell stories that help and inform. I want to inspire people to chase their dreams. I want to serve the community.
